Rear AC Vents Loose (T-SB-0253-10)

2008 – 2010 Highlander Some vehicles may exhibit a condition where the Rear Overhead A/C Vents (Air Outlet Register Sub-Assy) are loose or are difficult to adjust, especially in high ambient temperatures. The Rear Overhead A/C Vents have been revised to correct this condition. Use the procedure in this bulletin to replace the Rear Overhead A/C Vents.

Abnormal Sound from JBL Subwoofer (T-SB-0232-10)

2008 – 2010 Highlander, Highlander HV Some vehicles may exhibit a distortion noise from the JBL sub-woofer. An updated JBL amplifier is available to address this situation.

Heater Performance (T-SB-0231-10)

Some 2008 model year Sequoia and 2007 – 2008 model year Tundra vehicles may exhibit reduced cold-start heater warm-up performance in cold conditions. A newly designed Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic is available to address this condition. Use the following repair procedure to recalibrate the ECM (PCM).

Defroster Air Volume (T-SB-0224-10)

Some 2007 – 2010 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a condition where the air volume from the defroster nozzle is less than expected. A newly designed defroster air nozzle is available for this condition.

Daytime Running Lights Disabling Procedure (T-SB-0216-10)

Some customers may request to have the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) on their 2009 - 2010 Corolla vehicle disabled. These customers may live or work at military bases or in communities that have light-sensitive gates or guardhouses. This bulletin provides instructions for disabling the feature. If the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) have been previously disabled, the information in this bulletin can assist in enabling the feature at the request of the customer.

False Security Alarm Operation(T-SB-0208-10)

Some 2009 – 2010 Venza vehicles equipped with factory theft deterrent system may exhibit false triggering of the security horn when the vehicle is undisturbed. A newly designed hood latch assembly is now available to address this issue.

Poor FM Radio Reception (T-SB-0207-10)

Some 2010 model year Prius vehicles may exhibit poor FM radio reception. A radio with updated tuning has been developed to improve this condition.

False Security Alarm Operation (T-SB-0200-10)

Some 2008 – 2010 model year Japan-built Highlander and Highlander HV vehicles equipped with a factory theft deterrent system may exhibit a condition where the security horn is inappropriately triggered and the vehicle has not been disturbed.

MIL "ON" DTC P2420 (S-SB-0018-10)

Some 2010 model year xB, xD, and tC vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P2420 stored.

Transaxle Whine Noise (T-SB-0192-10)

Some 2006 – 2010 model year RAV4 vehicles equipped with the 5 speed automatic transaxle may exhibit a whine noise from the final drive gear assembly. This noise is usually noticeable between 20 MPH up to 65 MPH. Two engine mounts and the left front drive shaft damper have been revised to reduce the noise level heard by the customer. If further improvement is necessary, a honing process has been added to the final drive gear assembly to further reduce the noise concern.

2nd Row Seat Ottoman Inoperative (T-SB-0185-10)

Some 2011 Sienna vehicles may exhibit a condition where the 2nd row seat ottoman may become inoperative. The ottoman control cables have been updated for this condition.

Seat Belt Extender (S-SB-0017-10)

Scion (2011 iQ, 2010 – 2011 tC, xB, xD) customers who find it necessary to increase the length of their seat belts may obtain Seat Belt Extenders at no cost through their local Scion dealer.
• The extender is available in 6-inch, 9-inch, 12-inch, 15-inch, and 18-inch lengths.

Front Differential Growl/Rumble Noise (T-SB-0175-10)

Some 2010 model year part-time 4WD 4Runner vehicles may exhibit a growl or rumble noise from the front differential assembly when the vehicle is in motion in 2WD.

Voice Guidance Is Inoperative (T-SB-0173-10)

Some 2010 model year Land Cruiser vehicles equipped with the Toyota Navigation System may exhibit a condition where navigation voice guidance or Bluetooth™ sound is intermittently inoperative. A special DVD map disc with software updates has been developed to remedy this condition.

ECM Calibration: Enhancement to Shifting Performance (T-SB-0166-10)

Some 2010 4Runner, FJ Cruiser may exhibit a harsh shift on acceleration below 20 mph during the 2-1 downshift on vehicles equipped with an A750 transmission. The Engine Control Module/ ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) calibration has been revised.

MIL "ON" DTC P0456 (T-SB-0165-10)

Some 2009 – 2010 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles with a 2AZ engine may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0456 – Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (Very Small Leak). The Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring.

Tube Step - Step Pad Lifting/Cracked (T-SB-0164-10)

Some 2007 – 2010 model year Tundra vehicles equipped with PPO/DIO tube steps may exhibit a condition where the step pad has lifted or cracked. To improve the serviceability of the tube step, the step pad is now available as a separate service part.

SRS Light "ON" - B0111/B0116 - Open Side Squib Circuit (T-SB-0162-10)

Some 2005 – 2009 model year Sienna vehicles may exhibit an SRS lamp “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B0111 and/or B0116. An updated repair procedure is available to address this condition.

3rd Row Power Seat Will Not Return From Stowed Position Properly (T-SB-0161-10)

Some 2011 Sienna vehicles may exhibit a condition where the legs of the 3rd row power seat may overextend the strikers in the floor of the vehicle when moving the seat from the stowed position to the upright position. This can cause the power stow/latch function to become inoperative.

Harsh Shift and/or MIL "ON" DTC P0750, P0753, P0755, P0758 and/or P1760 (T-SB-0156-10)

Some 2001 – 2003 model year RAV4 vehicles equipped with an automatic transaxle may exhibit a harsh shift condition and/or MIL “ON” with DTC P0750, P0753, P0755, P0758, and/or P1760 stored. Improvements have been made to the Engine Control Module (ECM) (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) manufacturing process to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring.

MIL "ON" DTC P0456 (T-SB-0155-10)

Some 2010 model year 4Runner vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0456 stored in the Engine Control Module or ECM (SAE Term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM).

Rear Axle Bearing Abnormal Noise (T-SB-0151-10)

Some 2007 – 2010 model year Tundra vehicles may exhibit a howling or growling noise from the rear of the vehicle that increases with vehicle speed. Changes have been made to the rear axle bearing to correct this condition.

RH HVAC Vent Poor Fit (T-SB-0150-10)

Some 2009 model year Venza vehicles may exhibit a condition where the right hand HVAC vent has an uneven fit appearance where it meets the instrument panel. An improved passenger side register assembly is available to improve this condition.

Clicking Noise from Transfer Case (T-SB-0149-10)

Some 2010 model year 4WD Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a clicking or chirping noise from the transfer case assembly when the vehicle is in motion. Production changes have been made to eliminate this noise.

Brief Engine Knock/Rattle Noise at Cold Startup (1AR/2AR) Brief Engine Knock/Rattle Noise at Cold Startup (T-SB-0146-10)

Immediately following a cold soak startup, some 2010 – 2011 Camry, 2009 – 2010 Highlander, 2009 – 2010 RAV4, 2009 – 2010 Venza model year vehicles equipped with the 1AR-FE and 2AR-FE engines may exhibit a brief knock/rattle noise from the engine compartment for approximately one second.

Rear Suspension Bolt Corrosion (Vibration While Driving) (T-SB-0144-10)

2008 – 2010 Sequoia under certain driving and road conditions, corrosion may build on the front bolts of the rear suspension member. This condition may result in vibration from the rear of the vehicle while driving. Newly designed fasteners for the forward mounting location are available to address this condition. The rearward fasteners are naturally shielded from possible corrosion due to the differing mounting locations and are not affected.

Steering On-Center Feel (T-SB-0140-10)

Some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the on-center steering feel on the 2009 – 2010 model year Corolla vehicles. A re-tuned Power Steering Computer Assembly has been developed to provide an alternative steering feel for these customers.

Transmission Fluid or Gear Oil Seepage from Transfer Case Vent (AWD) (T-SB-0138-10)

Some 2004 – 2009 model year Highlander, 2001 – 2005 model year RAV4, and 2004 – 2010 model year Sienna AWD (4WD) vehicles may display a transmission fluid or gear oil seepage from a vent on the right side of the transfer case. The seepage is from the transfer RH (right-hand) bearing retainer No. 2 oil seal. Production improvements have been implemented to prevent this condition from occurring.

Parking Brake Cable Frozen (S-SB-0015-10)

Some 2008 Scion xB may exhibit a frozen or stuck parking brake after sitting for long periods of time in cold weather. Newly design cable assemblies are available to reduce the potential for this condition to occur.

Rear Window Water Leak (T-SB-0134-10)

Some 2005 – 2010 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a condition where the interior carpet has become wet or water is found in the interior due to water draining into the cabin from the rear window. This can occur in heavy rain or a car wash if the rear window molding seal is covering the rear cab drain vents, allowing water to enter the vehicle.

MIL "ON" DTC P0713 (U760) (T-SB-0132-10)

Some 2009 – 2010 model year Highlander, Venza, and 2010 – 2011 model year Camry vehicles equipped with the U760 automatic transaxle may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0713 (Transaxle Fluid Temperature Sensor “A” Circuit High Input) stored in the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The transaxle wire harness has been revised.

MIL "ON" Code P0456 (T-SB-0130-10)

Some 2010 model year Prius and 2011 Sienna vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0456 stored in the Engine Control Module or ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM).

Clutch Pedal Slow to Return in Sub-Freezing Temperatures (T-SB-0129-10)

Some 2007 – 2009 model year FJ Cruiser vehicles may exhibit a condition where the clutch pedal is slow to return when operated in sub-freezing temperatures.

CAN "Lost Communication" DTCs U0100 and U0129 (S-SB-0014-10)

Some 2008 – 2009 model year Scion xB vehicles may exhibit an intermittent condition where multiple Malfunction Indicator Lights (MIL) remain illuminated after start up, and the power steering system will enter the fail safe mode. The vehicle may return to normal after cycling the key.
The following DTCs will be stored in the EPS ECU:
• U0100 – Lost Communication with ECM/PCM “A”
• U0129 – Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module
The following DTCs may be stored in the VSC (ABS) system:
• U0073 – Control Module Communication Bus OFF
• U0123 – Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module
• U0124 – Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module
• U0126 – Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module
The EPS ECU software has been updated to prevent this condition. Replace the EPS ECU if DTCs
U0100 and U0129 are stored in the EPS ECU.

Steering Intermediate Shaft Rattle Noise (T-SB-0119-10)

Some 2005 – 2010 model year 4WD Tacoma and 2WD Tacoma PreRunner vehicles may exhibit steering rattle noise when driven over rough road surfaces. A newly designed steering intermediate shaft has been made available for service to address this condition.

MIL "ON" DTC P0715, P0717, P0791, and/or P0793 (U760) (T-SB-0116-10)

Some 2009 – 2010 model year Highlander, Venza, and 2010 model year Camry vehicles equipped with the U760 automatic transaxle may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored in the Transmission Control Module (TCM):
P0715 – Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P0717 – Input Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal
P0791 – Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor “A” Circuit
P0793 – Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor “A”
The transmission revolution sensor has been revised.

Back Door Power Window Inoperative (T-SB-0115-10)

Some 2001 – 2007 model year Sequoia vehicles may experience a condition where the back door power window of the vehicle is inoperative/stuck in the closed position.

HVAC Control Panel Illumination Dim (T-SB-0113-10)

Some 2003 – 2009 4Runner vehicles may exhibit a condition where the HVAC control panel illumination is dim, flickering, or intermittently inoperative. A newly designed light bulb has been made available to resolve this concern.


Washer Hose Loose(T-SB-0108-10)

Some 2009 – 2010 Corolla vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise coming from the engine room area. The noise may be caused by the washer hose hitting the top of the engine valve cover. In some cases, no noise is heard, but the hose is found loose during routine service. An improved tape has been developed to correct this condition.


Instrument Panel Rattle Below Glove Box (T-SB-0106-10)

Some 2005 – 2009 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit an instrument panel rattle or tick noise below the glove box area. The faint noise is most evident when accelerating slowly between the 1000 – 1600 RPM range. The rattle has been found to be coming from a wire harness cover coming into contact with the HVAC bracket.


Remote Engine Starter (RES) ECU Parasitic Draw (T-SB-0103-10)

Some vehicles equipped with a Remote Engine Starter (RES) may exhibit a discharged battery condition after short term storage due to parasitic draw. Use the procedure in this TSB to assist with the diagnosis of excessive parasitic battery draw to correctly identify if the Remote Engine Starter (RES) ECU is the cause.


MIL "ON" DTC P0713 (T-SB-0099-10)

Some 2010 model year Corolla, Matrix, and Yaris vehicles equipped with the U34#E automatic transaxle may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0713 (Transaxle Fluid Temperature Sensor “A” High Input) stored in the Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM). The transaxle wire harness has been revised.

Rear Brake Squeak (T-SB-0098-10)

Some 2010 Prius vehicles may experience rear brake squeak when backing up or moving forward during the first few brake applications when the brakes are cold. An updated rear brake shim kit is available to reduce the likelihood of this condition occurring.

Scion xD MIL "ON" DTC P0713 (U341E) (S-SB-0011-10)

Some 2010 model year Scion xD vehicles equipped with the U341E automatic transaxle may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0713 (Transaxle Fluid Temperature Sensor “A” High Input) stored in the ECM. The transaxle wire harness has been revised.

Sliding Door Rattle While Driving(T-SB-0094-10)

Some Sienna vehicles may exhibit a growling, ticking, clunking, or rattling noise near or around the left and/or right-hand sliding door when driving on rough road surfaces. Noise generated by contact between the striker plate and lock assembly on 2004 – 2006 model year Sienna vehicles has been reduced by adding a resin coating to the sliding door striker plate and sliding door lock assembly. The updated part applies to both manual and power sliding doors. Noise generated by contact between the male and female slide door stoppers on 2004 – 2010 model year Sienna vehicles has been reduced by redesigning the male stopper (foam type material was added to the male stopper). The updated part applies to both manual and power sliding doors.

Transmission Fluid Leak through Driveshaft Yoke(T-SB-0088-10)

Some 2009 – 2010 model year 2WD Tacoma vehicles may display a small transmission fluid leak through the driveshaft (propeller shaft) slip yoke plug in the center of the yoke. Manufacturing process changes were implemented at the supplier to reduce the possibility of this condition. Replacement of the driveshaft will correct this condition.

Instrument Panel Rattle Near Glove Box(T-SB-0087-10)

Some 2005 – 2010 Tacoma vehicles may exhibit an instrument panel rattle or buzz noise coming from above the glove box.

Abnormal Radio Faceplate Operation(T-SB-0085-10)

2007 – 2009 Camry, 2008 – 2009 Highlander, 2006 – 2010 RAV4 Some of these vehicles may demonstrate one or more of the following intermittent radio condition(s): scrambled, unreadable or blank display; no volume control; or turning ON/OFF by itself. An improved radio has been developed to correct this condition.

Rear Suspension "Squawk" Noise (T-SB-0082-10)

Some 2009 – 2010 Venza vehicles may exhibit a “squawk/groan” noise from the rear suspension when traveling over bumps, accelerating from a stop, and/or during slow rolling stops. The abnormal noise may be caused by rear coil spring contact with the lower strut seat due to a displaced or damaged rear coil spring lower insulator. An updated rear coil spring lower insulator is available for this condition.

Steering Column "Popping" Noise (T-SB-0076-10)

Some 2009-2010 Venza vehicles may exhibit a “popping” noise from the steering column when the steering wheel is rotated to the left or right steering stop. Perform the repair procedure outlined in this TSB

MIL "ON" DTC P0500(T-SB-0072-10)

Some 2002 – 2003 model year Camry vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0500 — Vehicle Speed Sensor “A”. The Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring.

MIL "ON" DTC P2195, P0138, and/or P0031(T-SB-0066-10)

Some 2010 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs):
P2195 – Oxygen (A/F) Sensor Signal Stuck Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0138 – Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0031 – Oxygen (A/F) Sensor Heater Control Low (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
The Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring.

Some 2009 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs):
P2195 – Oxygen (A/F) Sensor Signal Stuck Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0138 – Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0031 – Oxygen (A/F) Sensor Heater Control Low (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
The Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring.

Static-Laden/Distorted Bluetooth Sound Quality(T-SB-0054-10)

Some 2010 Toyota vehicles and 2009 Venza vehicles may exhibit a condition where the Bluetooth hands-free system introduces static noise or distortion that is only audible to the person on the landline side of the telephone call. An updated radio assembly has been developed to address this condition.

MIL "ON" DTC P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0356 (T-SB-0047-10)

Some 2008 – 2010 model year vehicles equipped with 2GR-FE engines may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, or P0356 (Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit) stored in the Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM).

MIL "ON" - Fuel in EVAP System (T-SB-0046-10)

Some 2006 – 2010 model year RAV4 vehicles may exhibit one or more of the following conditions due to fuel in the EVAP system:
• MIL “ON” with the following DTCs stored: P043E, P043F, P2401, P2401, and P2419
• Intermittent rough idle when at operating temperature.

Front Propeller Shaft Parts Label Delaminating - Ticking Noise (T-SB-0045-10)

Some 2008 – 2010 model year 4WD Sequoia and 2007 – 2010 model year 4WD Tundra vehicles may have a ticking noise present only when in 4WD. Production changes have been made to correct this condition.

High Beam/DRL Bulb Inoperative (T-SB-0044-10)

On some 2008-2010 Avalon vehicles, the High Beam/DRL bulb may become inoperative or shatter. A newly designed High Beam/DRL housing assembly (including the applicable bulb) is available in the event this condition has occurred.
This condition does not apply to the low beam bulb which functions independently of the High Beam/DRL bulb.

Engine Idle Vibration Only in Reverse (T-SB-0042-10)

Some 2009 model year 4-cylinder AWD Venza vehicles may exhibit an engine idle vibration while the transaxle is in Reverse. A front engine support spacer has been developed to address this concern. Please use the following repair procedure to repair this condition.

MIL "ON" DTC P0455 & P0441 or P0456 (T-SB-0030-10)

Some 2005 – 2009 model year 4Runner vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition with one or more of the following DTCs: P0455 & P0441 or P0456.

MIL "ON" DTC P0012 and/or P0022 (T-SB-0019-10)

Some 2010 model year Sequoia and Tundra vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” condition for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0012 and/or P0022 (Camshaft Position “A” – Timing Over-Retarded Bank 1/2).

MIL "ON" DTC P0138 and/or P0158 Diagnostic Tips (T-SB-0001-10)

Some vehicles may exhibit a MIL “ON” Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0138 and/or P0158 (Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 or 2). In some instances a P2195 or P2197 (A/F Sensor Signal Stuck Lean) DTC may also be present. This condition may be caused by incorrect Air Fuel Ratio Sensor response. Additionally, a P0606 (ECM/PCM Processor) DTC may be present due to incorrect Oxygen Sensor operation.

Engine Bank 1 and Bank 2 A/F and O2 Identification (T-SB-0398-09)

This service bulletin provides information on the proper identification of engine bank 1 and engine bank 2 for correct A/F sensor and oxygen sensor replacement.

Snow Entry Into Air Cleaner Box (T-SB-0396-09)

Some Sequoia and Tundra vehicles operated in areas with significant snow volume may experience snow accumulation in the air cleaner box which can cause the lid to fracture. The air cleaner lid and fender liner have been revised to reduce accumulation.

ECM Calibration: Enhancement to Shifting Performance & Smoothness (T-SB-0393-09)

2010 Tacoma to enhance shifting performance and smoothness below 20 mph during the 2 to1 downshift on vehicles equipped with an A750 transmission, the Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) calibration has been revised.

Premature Front Brake Pad Wear (T-SB-0392-09)

Some 2009 & 2010 model year Corolla vehicles may exhibit premature pad wear. Use the following replacement pads to address this condition.

0446502240 (NAP) 0446502220 (JPP)

Some 2009 & 2010 Corolla (T-SB-0384-09)

May exhibit an intermittent HVAC system odor. A newly designed evaporator sub assembly has been made available to decrease the potential for HVAC odor.

6 Speed Manual Transmission Clutch Difficult Engaging (T-SB-0385-09)

Some customers of manual transmission equipped, V6 FJ Cruiser and Tacoma vehicles may experience a slipping feeling in all forward gears and reverse. The center section of the clutch disk may have separated from the friction material section of the clutch disk. Installation of a new clutch disk and clutch cover (pressure plate) is required to repair the vehicle.

2010 model year Prius (T-SB-0387-09)

Some 2010 model year Prius vehicles may have an A/C control panel electronic display that is blurry, cloudy, or difficult to read. An improved A/C control panel has been made available to improve this condition.

2009 & 2010 RAV4 (T-SB-0388-09)

Some RAV4 vehicles with Automatic Air Conditioning systems may exhibit a condition where the HVAC system intermittently blows warm air from the vents with the A/C on. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1479 (Flow Sensor Circuit) may be stored in the A/C system as either a Current or History DTC. A malfunctioning A/C compressor flow sensor may cause this condition.

2005 -- 2009 Avalon (T-SB-0389-09)

Some 2005 & 2009 model year Avalon vehicles may exhibit a ticking noise from the steering wheel while driving slowly and turning left or right.Confirm there is a ticking noise by driving the vehicle slowly and turning the steering wheel left or right. If a ticking noise can be heard or felt from the steering wheel when turning left or right, replace the steering column assembly.

Charging System Warning Light "ON" (T-SB-0375-09)

Some 2009 model year RAV4 vehicles may exhibit a condition where the charging system warning light is ON. This condition may be caused by a malfunction in the alternator pulley clutch. The alternator pulley clutch has been updated to correct this condition. Use the following procedure to diagnose and repair the alternator pulley clutch.

Coolant Leak and/or Abnormal Noise from Water Pump (T-SB-0362-09)

Some 2009 & 2010 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles may exhibit a small coolant leak and/or abnormal noise from the engine compartment originating at the water pump assembly.

Fuel Tank Protector Rattle Noise (T-SB-0358-09)

Some 2005 & 2008 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the fuel tank protector. The fuel tank band (RH) has been improved to correct this condition.

2008 Highlander HV (T-SB-0356-09)

Some 2008 Highlander HV models may exhibit an intermittent HVAC system odor. A newly designed evaporator sub-assembly has been made available to decrease the potential for HVAC odor.

Coolant Leak from Transaxle Drain Plug(T-SB-0352-09)

Some 2010 model year Prius vehicles may exhibit a condition where coolant is leaking from the transaxle coolant drain plug.

TOMTOM Navigation Rebooting During Operation(T-SB-0351-09)

Some 2008 and 2009 model year 4Runner vehicles equipped with a TOMTOM Portable Navigation Device (PND) may exhibit a condition where the PND reboots during operation. An updated SD card has been developed to address this condition.

Air Injection Pump With Water Intrusion (T-SB-0350-09)

Some 2010 model year Tundra vehicles built in the Texas plant may exhibit a MIL ON condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P2440, P2441, P2442, P2443, P2446, and/or P2447. This concern may be caused by water intrusion into the air injection pump assembly.

Intermittent No Crank/No Start (T-SB-0348-09)

Some 2008 & 2009 Highlander, 2009 & 2010 Matrix, and 2006 & 2010 RAV4 vehicles may intermittently exhibit a no crank condition. The engine can usually be started after moving the shift lever to the Neutral position or by cycling the shift lever in and out of the Park position. A revised neutral start switch assembly is available to address this condition.

Brief Engine Knock/Rattle Noise at Cold Startup (S-SB-0046-09)

Immediately following a cold soak startup, some 2008 & 2009 model year Scion xD vehicles may exhibit a brief knock/rattle noise from the engine compartment for approximately one second.

Excessive Sulfur Odor (T-SB-0346-09)

Some customers may complain of excessive sulfur odor on 2006 & 2009 model year 4Runner vehicles equipped with the 1GR-FE engine under the following conditions: Stop and go driving and Heavy acceleration. In order to reduce the sulfur odor, new catalytic converter assemblies have been made available.

4WD Towing Precaution (T-SB-0381-09)

2009 & 2010 Matrix, 2006 & 2010 RAV4, 2009 & 2010 Venza The only acceptable towing method for vehicles equipped with an Active Torque Control 4WD system is to have all four wheels off the ground. Flat towing or towing where only the front or rear wheels are supported may damage the all-wheel drive system.
